Karate Equipment

Karate is one of the few sports that requires very little equipment. After their first month in Karate, students are required to purchase a white karate Gi which is free from all markings. The approved Wado lettering may be sewn on the left breast of the Gi top. A mouth guard and, for male students, an athletic support is required for sparring (kumite). Students may use the hand and foot pads which are kept at the dojo, or may purchase their own. All equipment is available for purchase through the club.
